MOTHERLOAD is an award-winning, crowdsourced documentary that uses the cargo bike as a vehicle for exploring parenting and bikes in this digital age of climate change. As Bay Area filmmaker/cyclist/mom meets the people behind the push to replace cars with purpose-built bikes, she discovers the history and potential future of the bicycle as the “ultimate social revolutionizer.”

The film made me cry...which is saying A LOT. I've seen a lot of bike documentaries! — Dave Snyder, Executive Director, CalBike

“I, too, cried at your showing tonight. Like you, the bike changed my life, causing me to work within the system to support human scale places. Lately, I’ve become a bit jaded and lost the fire. Your film helped me remember and made me excited… Thank you for that amazing gift.” — Ken Rose, Senior Policy Advisor for Physical Activity and Health at the Center for Disease Control

MOTHERLOAD took me quite by surprise with the depth in the film in terms of the history, women, and bikes. I truly had tears in my eyes throughout the film — tears of happiness, anger, frustration, love, and pure joy! — Joni Cooper, Director of Programming, DOClands Film Festival
