Links Hall is thrilled to announce that this fall we will be restructuring LinkUP, our primary commissioning program and incorporating our Artists Residencies into Links Hall's new programmatic vision Co-MISSIONS.
Under the umbrella of Co-MISSIONS Links Hall will offer Intensives, Residencies, and Fellowships expanding our commissioning support to 14-16 artistic projects annually. These programs will incorporate a more flexible range of resources, designed to meet the needs of artistic experimentation at different points in an artist's career, and different points in a project's development.
Kaitlin Webster
Kaitlin Webster is originally from Aurora, CO, earning a B.F.A in dance and choreography from Cornish College of the Arts. Emphasizing her contemporary, hiphop, and improv training, Kaitlin has performed for Interweave Dance Theater and The Goodnight Ladies among others and can be seen as a featured character in the Open TV web series "Full Out" along with "The Furies" via King is a Fink productions. Ms. Webster debuted with Crash as a company 2 member in 2012, promoted to the full company in 2014, and promoted to rehearsal director in 2016
Mike Steele
Mike Steele
Mike Steele is a director, writer, and performer who specializes in devising original, physical theatre. His pieces combine elements of experimental theatre, dance, music and spoken word to conjure new, dreamlike realities. As an artist, Mike seeks to present an alternative world, one constructed from the refuse of our shared experience, but distorted, rearranged, and amplified. Mike is the former Artistic Director of The Island Theatre, with whom he created and produced several theatrical events including The Glass Inward (at Defibrillator Gallery), The War To End War (at The Chicago Fringe), and Tourist Trap (at Links Hall). Mike has also performed as an actor, mover, and solo artist with Trap Door Theatre, Oracle Theatre, The Den, Strawdog, and Sideshow Theatre to name a few. He has also collaborated internationally with Teatr Witkacy in Zakopane, Poland. Occasionally Mike can be heard blowing melodies through various twisted hunks of brass as a member of The Garvey Train.
