The Distant Flight of Birds and Other Works will feature four performances by artists working in classical music, writing, story-telling and puppetry.

Black Cat Theatre Company presents the visceral beauty of Manuel de Falla's "Siete Canciones Populares Espanoles". Susan Payne O’Brien will be singing this work, directed and designed by Mikalina Rabinsky and featuring Nyela Basney on piano. Nelia Miller presents a re-telling of Ahab and Jonah's stories and a telling of what happens after. "Cetology" examines the destructive and nurturing sides of both ourselves and our relationships. Award-winning author Abby Geni reads from her first book, "The Last Animal". "Landscaping" is a story about parenthood, love, autism, and the moon. "Distant Flight of Birds" is a work-in-progress showing featuring artists from Forte Chicago. This piece omes out of a 6-week exploration of Grimm's fairy tale of "The Seven Ravens."
