Photoserve, with The Friday Collective, presents:

Where Beauty Rises: An Evening of Arts for Humanity

Sun, October 8, 2017

7:30 pm (event ends at 9:30 pm)

Links Hall At Constellation

Chicago, IL

$15 - $25

Where Beauty Rises was born from the place where the joy of creating and the desire to respond to the needs of our global community intersect. The evening will feature world premieres and collaborations across the disciplines of dance, film, music and theater from Chicago-based performing artists: choreographers Joanna Paul and Colleen Welch (The Friday Collective), filmmaker Dolly Avenue, and musicians Caleb Neubaur (Misty Aeons), Chris Paquette, Tiffany Wong and more. A percentage of all profits will go towards helping to provide clean water for those living without around the world. This evening of performance is inspired by Photoserve’s volunteer trip with Wine to Water to repair broken wells in villages of the Amazon jungle. The volunteers experienced the water crisis firsthand and were moved by the people they met and the stories they heard. Join us on this night as we trade in our fears for possibilities and create out of the passions within us.

Because of this, we donate back to the organization the media we create during the project to promote their individual world changing visions. After returning, we continue to tell the story on our platforms, as well as educate and share our experience to the world around us, in hopes of spurring action and creating community. The Friday Collective is a new and evolving Chicago-based dance collective, formed in 2016 with a desire to build and foster relationships within the Chicago arts community.
