Come celebrate 20 years with The Boxhead Ensemble. The Boxhead Ensemble was created 20 years ago to score the Braden King film Dutch Harbor: Where The Sea Breaks It's Back. The soundtrack enlisted several Chicago luminaries including Rick Rizzo, Ken Vandermark, David Grubbs, Jim O'Rourke, Doug McCombs and more. Over the years The Boxhead Ensemble has continued to expand and explore film and studio work compiling a large body of work. The anniversary show will also serve as a record release show for the newest Boxhead release "HERE; The Chicago Sessions"

The anniversary show will include short individual sets from the performers as well as larger improvised ensemble. Guests will be announced soon!

"An eccentric, exquisite genre-bender"- Pitchfork

"It's as though they had photographed the music, first snapping it through the lens smeared with vaseline then photoshopping it into unnaturally elegant shape"- Dusted

"[I]ts layering of rich, contrasting sounds also holds up to direct attention, making this an album that satisfies both sides of the ambient equation. It is as interesting to hear as it is to ignore".- Bill Meyer
